The front panel is replaceable allowing for new development opportunities as well as replacement in the event of damage.  The top of the housing will feature velcro and snaps for attaching a cover to help protect the camera components from stray water droplets and spray.  Two large foam wrapped handles are attached to either side of the housing for easy transportation.  The interior of the housing features a Ronford Baker Quick Release Shoe for camera mounting.  Note: This is not an underwater housing and is not intended for full submersion.

New office expansions enable Keslow Camera to accelerate growth in motion picture, television and commercial support. 
CULVER CITY, CA, May 22, 2018 – Keslow Camera, the largest privately held motion picture camera equipment rental house in North America, recently opened new offices in Salt Lake City, Utah and New Orleans, Louisiana to accommodate rapid growth and leverage the industry’s geographical shift. With offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Vancouver, Santa Fe, Chicago and Toronto, these additions will mark number seven and eight for the rental house.
Keslow Camera is known for its high-caliber quality control standards and meticulously maintained equipment. In addition to the corporate headquarters in Culver City, the two new offices support the company’s overall growth strategy and market share. Keslow Camera’s recent acquisition of Clairmont Camera in 2017 has accelerated the company’s growth and diversified its equipment catalog.

Keslow Camera Announces Acquisition of Clairmont Camera

Move Expands Company’s Footprint into Canada as Denny Clairmont Retires

CULVER CITY, CA (July 17, 2017) – Keslow Camera, the largest privately held motion picture camera equipment rental house in North America, announced today that it is acquiring Clairmont Camera and its Vancouver and Toronto operations. The move will more than quadruple Keslow Camera’s anamorphic and vintage lens inventory, and add a substantial range of custom camera equipment to the company’s extensive portfolio. Simultaneously, Clairmont founder Denny Clairmont, one of the industry’s most respected talents in front and behind the camera, announced his retirement. The acquisition is expected to be complete on or before August 4.

Company Founder and CEO Robert Keslow said, “This acquisition perfectly aligns with Keslow Camera’s mission – to never stop growing, never stop learning, and never stop improving. The expansion into the two busiest Canadian markets delivers on our clients’ ongoing requests for us to service them in more areas of the world.”

Keslow Camera will retain the talented support staff and experienced team of Clairmont’s Vancouver and Toronto facilities, who have been offering professional digital and film cameras, lenses and accessories to the filmmaking community in the region since the 1980s. All operations within California will eventually be consolidated to Keslow Camera’s headquarters in Culver City.

Clairmont notes that this deal also serves as his endorsement. “Clairmont Camera is my life’s work and I never stopped searching for innovative ways to serve our clients. I have long respected Robert Keslow and the team at Keslow Camera for their integrity, quality of management, best-in-class customer service, and successful performance. Denny Clairmont, along with his brother, Terry, established one of the world’s most prestigious movie equipment and camera rental companies in 1976. In 2011, Clairmont received the John A. Bonner Medal of Commendation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), awarded by the Academy Board of Governors upon the recommendation of the Scientific and Technical Awards Committee.  The Medal honors outstanding service and dedication in upholding the high standards of the Academy. Clairmont and Ken Robings won a Technical Achievement Award from the Society of Camera Operators (SOC) for the lens perspective system, and Clairmont has won two Emmys from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his role in the development of special lens systems. These innovative solutions will immediately be available to Keslow Camera customers.

Milton L. Keslow, Co-Founder of General Camera, Founder of Keslow Television, Dies at 80.

Milton L. Keslow, co-founder of General Camera, a leading supplier of motion picture equipment for over 30 years, died on 12/29/2015. He was 80 years old.

Mr. Keslow (ASC) started General Camera in 1962 with Richard DiBona (ASC). The two met while working at Camera Equipment Co. (known as CECO) in Manhattan. Shortly after CECO was sold by it’s founders, Mr. Keslow and Mr. DiBona took the leap of faith together to open their own business, in the hopes of supplying motion picture cameras to the New York production market.  General Camera’s first office was at the corner of 7th Avenue and 48th Street, above the legendary Cafe Metropole. Over the next 20 years they moved and expanded their operation four times, once as a result of eminent domain and the construction of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Their big break came when the two men made “a handshake deal” with then Panavison co-founder, Robert Gottschalk, to be the sole suppliers of their cameras and lenses on the east coast. Panavision equipment was, and still is the gold standard among filmmakers for its cutting edge optics and other innovations. General Camera supplied cameras, lighting, grip stages, and Chapman dollies and cranes for many of the greatest movies of all time, including The Godfather (1972), Jaws (1975), Taxi Driver (1976), The French Connection (1971), Annie Hall (1977), and Tootsie (1982). General Camera was eventually bought by Panavision, under the leadership of CEO Ron Perleman in 1994.

In addition to being a distinguished equipment company, General Camera was also known as a company where many great cinematographers and cameramen got their start. Cinematographer Craig DiBona (ASC), Richard DiBona’s son, began his career at General Camera and witnessed the company’s ascendance first hand. “Milton Keslow had a keen sense of business,” Craig DiBona recalls. “He had a great feeling that as a team anything was possible, and as it turned out it was. The industry will miss one of the greats of his generation.”

Mr. Keslow went on to found two additional New York City based companies: Imaging Video Incorporated, which he co-owned with Mr. DiBona and later, Keslow Television, which he ran along with his sons Marc Keslow and Seth Keslow until his retirement in 2005. Both companies supplied broadcast video equipment for the television production industry. Mr. Keslow also helped launch Los Angeles based Keslow Camera. Keslow Camera is a leading supplier of motion picture equipment rentals, owned by Mr. Keslow’s son Robert Keslow, with six offices across the country.

Mr. Keslow’s introduction to the camera equipment industry came while based in Fort Dix, New Jersey during his service in the Korean War where he worked as a movie projectionist.

The son of Russian and Polish immigrants Abraham and Rose Keslowitz, Mr. Keslow was born in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, New York on June 26, 1935. He graduated from James Madison High School in 1954.  Although never a serious student, he was described by all who knew him as a hard worker, a go-getter and a someone with the gift for negotiating and closing a deal.

In life, Mr. Keslow enjoyed horse racing, and was the owner of dozens of trotters that raced throughout the tri-state area.  His love of sports and socializing led him to organize trips to almost every one of the first 25 Super Bowls with his family and friends. For those that knew him, Mr. Keslow was a larger than life person. In his own words, he considered himself, “a lucky man.”

Mr. Keslow was predeceased by his sister, Sandy (Keslow) Miller in 2013. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra Keslow, his three sons, daughters Hara, Lori and Allison, his sister Eileen, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a large extended family.

Keslow Camera’s R&D experts have enhanced the storytelling experience with a custom lens light that utilizes LED White and Ultraviolet (UV) lights.

“Each of our lenses’ focus marks are covered with UV cured coatings, allowing cinematographers to see lenses anywhere from a dark sound stage to a night shot,” says Mike Kramer, Keslow Camera’s R&D manager. “We’ve also replaced the standard white incandescent light with LED lights to ensure maximum brightness and luminosity.”



The innovative fixture also includes an additional accessory power port, allowing camera assistants to see their focus marks in dark situations without sacrificing an R/S port.

Industry Veterans, Bill Hale and Jim Summers, join Keslow Camera’s Marketing Team

Prior to his role at Keslow Camera, Bill Hale joined Clairmont Camera where he served as a Rental Agent for close to a decade. Previously he served the needs of cinematographers and production companies at Rocky Mountain Motion Pictures as a General Manager. Hale also gained extensive experience as a Rental Manager for Technological Cinevideo Services (TCS) where he supported notable projects. Hale earned a B.A. in film from Brooklyn College, and attended New York University, Tisch School of the Arts’s graduate film program.

Prior to joining Keslow Camera, Jim Summers’ thirteen-year career in the rental department at Fletcher Camera/CINEVERSE allowed him to assist a myriad of clients in creating their vision. Summers professional experience also includes two years in the sales department at Panavision’s Chicago office. Summers is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, where he received a B.F.A. in photography, summa cum laude.
