Keslow Camera Brings World-Class Service and Support to

Atlanta’s Film & Television Community

Los Angeles, Calif., (June 30, 2015) –

Keslow Camera, a leading camera equipment provider for motion picture, television and commercial productions worldwide, today announces its expanded operations to the Midtown Atlanta area. To provide more opportunities for those doing production, Keslow Camera recognized the need to support existing and future clients with a full-service facility offering cutting edge resources and unparalleled customer service.

“Keslow Camera was, from the start, built to make our customers’ needs our number one priority,” said Company Founder and CEO Robert Keslow. “With this expansion to Atlanta, we’re bringing the same high level service our clients have grown accustomed to.”

Keslow Camera’s Atlanta workplace has been designed together with architects from Abramson Teiger Architects, the same creative team that planned the company’s innovative Los Angeles headquarters. The 8,200 square-foot facility, housing skilled technicians from Atlanta’s strong talent pool, will provide various prep bays including a private test room, and a fully equipped service department.

Upon careful selection, the Midtown area location was largely chosen for its many amenities and a convenient twenty-minute proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Keslow Camera also operates from offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, New Mexico, Miami and New Orleans.

Welcome to Tomorrowland

Anticipation has been building for what has been a tightly kept secret in Hollywood.  What is Tomorrowland?  The recently released full-length trailer has sucked us all in to a strange world that we are all eager to learn more about.  In exactly one week we will find out with the premiere of Tomorrowland on May 22.

Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as Tomorrowland.  George Clooney, Britt Robertson, and Hugh Laurie star in this epic tale.

Another reason to see this cinematic tale is for the beautiful visuals captured by Academy Award winner Claudio Miranda, ASC.  Miranda used the Sony F65 and F55 cameras with a variety of lenses: Zeiss, Arri, Angenieux, and Fujinon.  1st AC Dan Ming and DIT Alex Carr worked closely with Miranda to help create his vision for this Brad Bird directed film.

Miranda was an early adopter of the Sony Cine Alta F65 and F55 cameras and has been instrumental in providing feedback for our custom power plates and bracketry created by our head of R&D Michael Kramer exclusively for these cameras.  We’ve added more power integration and with the F55 have also created a more robust camera by encasing the body in metal cheese plates, which you can read more about here.

Just one more week of waiting at the edge or our seat and we’ll finally get to see what Tomorrowland is all about!

Grace and Frankie Have Arrived

The wait is over!  The Netflix original series “Grace and Frankie” premieres today.  In typical Netflix fashion, the whole series is released at once so you can binge watch it all this weekend.  The show reunites Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin who starred together – along with Dolly Parton – in the very funny workplace comedy film “9 to 5.”

Gale Tattersall Grace and Frankie

We were proud to be able to support the talented cinematographer Gale Tattersall on this premiere season of “Grace and Frankie.”  We worked side-by-side with Gale on “House” so we were excited to do another TV series with him.  Gale chose to shoot Season 1 on the RED Dragon camera with Cooke S4 prime lenses and Angenieux Optimo zoom lenses. We think the result looks fantastic!  See for yourself in this trailer:

Now go home and settle in for some good laughs and a great story!
