Coming soon… Keslow Camera Chicago

Keslow Camera is thrilled to announce our latest venture: Keslow Camera Chicago.  Our Chicago rental house is currently under construction and will be opening soon on the grounds of Cinespace Chicago Film Studios.

Cinespace is a film studio that provides sound stages, production office space, carpentry and painting shops, prop rentals, lighting rentals, catering, and now camera rental service provided by Keslow Camera!  Being located on the largest film studio in Chicago, we will be able to provide our customers with excellent, convenient service.  Like the (not so distant) old days where each studio had a camera department, we will provide added convenience to productions shooting on the Cinespace lot.  Plus, the studio is in a central Chicago location, just 4 miles west of downtown and near I-290 and I-55, so regardless of where you’re shooting you will be able to access our office with ease.

The space we are moving into is undergoing a full transformation from its former life as an industrial kitchen (see above photo), used when this building was part of the Ryerson Steel plant.  The space has been gutted, and redesigned to provide large prep bays, a rental office, a lens and camera tech area, equipment storage, and a break room.  We also have a dock with direct access to our prep floor.  The construction is moving along smoothly and we look forward to the unveiling soon!

We are currently providing camera equipment to two TV shows in production in Chicago: “Chicago Fire” and “The Mob Doctor.”  Once we open our doors we look forward to supporting many more productions in the Chicago region.  Stay tuned!
