RAPID-CHARGING BLOCK BATTERY SOLUTION

Keslow Camera Inc., a leader in the cinema camera and equipment rentals industry since 1990, today announced its latest innovation in on-set technology, the Hypersonic 600 Block Battery. The Los Angeles-based company, with locations across the United States and Canada, said its new battery, which will be available to rent to productions at large by Q1 of 2026, will significantly reduce time spent charging batteries on set, and increase performance across a broad spectrum of on-set conditions versus competitors and existing inventory.

“Prior to the Keslow Hypersonic 600 battery, managing on-set power was a perpetual concern. The power demands of contemporary cameras and their accessories led to frequent battery changes and unexpected shutdowns, hindering efficient and reliable client operations. This exceptional battery has eliminated these power-related issues. It offers the consistent, long-lasting power required by our camera systems, allowing our clients to operate confidently and concentrate fully on our creative objectives. It is set to revolutionize on-set workflows with its rugged, dependable performance. Moreover, its Hypersonic charging speed - achieving a full charge in 30 minutes or less, depending on the discharge level - guarantees clients have the sustained power they need. The battery has become an essential tool for any project, especially the most challenging ones.” - Michael Kramer, R&D Manager, Keslow Camera

  • Rapid recharge rate of approximately 30 minutes from fully drained to completely charged. Recharge while still omitting simultaneous power to save even more time on-set.
  • Extreme temperature range capabilities, from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to +140 degrees Fahrenheit. Featuring the safest lithium chemistry available for zero risk of fire, explosion, or hazardous smoke.
  • Lightweight and durable design at 23LBs per unit, versus approximately 33LBs for competitor block batteries.

The Hypersonic 600 Block Battery has been developed in tandem with the camera departments of numerous upcoming films and series, including the expert team behind the eighth season of FOX’s "9-1-1." The crew for "9-1-1" offered praise for the Hypersonic technology:

“Finally - a block battery that ticks all the boxes. Long-lasting, fast-charging, and surprisingly lightweight for its capacity. It delivers simultaneous 12V and 24V unregulated power so no need for splitters or converters. No sudden voltage drop-offs, just clean, consistent output. The capacity meter is accurate and dependable: no second-guessing mid-take. It performs well in extreme conditions, hot or cold, and the rugged construction handles the demands of real-world production without flinching. This is the battery we’ve been waiting for.” - James Rydings, “A” Camera 1st AC, "9-1-1"

“I’ve been operating with the ARRI 3-Axis Stabilized Head for over six years, and I’ve cycled through nearly every block battery on the market. This one stands out - by far the most reliable and robust I’ve used. It consistently delivers clean, stable power across the board, handling high continuous current draws and aggressive transient spikes with zero dropout. Whether mounted on a 75-foot technocrane for extended takes or rigged to an arm car in high-speed environments, it powers both the head and multiple high-draw accessories and cameras without a hitch. Voltage sag? Practically nonexistent. It maintains performance under load with remarkable efficiency, making it the go-to solution for demanding production environments where power integrity is critical.” - Brice Reid, “A” Camera Steadicam Operator, "9-1-1: Lone Star"

Complimenting the Hypersonic 600 Block Battery, Keslow Camera will also be launching a Hypersonic Sequential Charger, allowing for four batteries to be charged in sequential order, delivering higher currents than existing single charger models.
